Exhibition

The show, which consisted of excerpts from the book, ran through August 18, 2002 at the Museum of Neon Art. If you missed it, there are still plenty of actual neon pieces which were featured in Los Angeles Neon on display, such as: the RCA Nipper pooch, Van De Kamp's spinning windmill, the Brown Derby Vine St. hat, and of course La Fonda's whirling dancers who grace the book's cover. Recent additions to the museum include the rescued: "Big Theek Steaks" from El Gordo in San Gabriel, the State Theater marquee from Pasadena, and the animated brick-layer from Midway Building Supply in Montclair. Please visit the Museum of Neon Art for hours, location and current exhibition information.
